Your First Day With the OASO Pencil for iPad
The OASO palm rejection pencil is designed to be forgotten about: no pairing, no app, no menus. There are still a few small things that make the first session smoother.
It is an active pencil, so it needs a charge and a compatible iPad. Everything else happens on the glass.
Charge it first
Plug the pencil into the USB-C cable for its first full charge. The light shows you when it is ready.
Press the button once
A single press wakes the pencil. It switches itself off after a while without use to save battery.
Disconnect any other pencil
If another pencil is paired to the iPad over Bluetooth, forget it in Settings; the iPad only listens to one at a time.
Open your favourite app
Notes, GoodNotes, Notability, Procreate: rest your hand, tilt for shading and write the first line in the margin.
If lines look offset, restart the iPad once; it recalibrates the screen for the pencil.
